The Sunday Lunch Club meets on the second Sunday of the month usually at 1 p.m. but sometimes a littler earlier or later.

The idea behind the formation of this group was that, although there are plenty of U3A activities during the week, weekends can be fairly quiet, so I thought it would be nice for those interested to get together occasionally for a meal out.

So far it has proved to be very successful with lots of good conversation and plenty of laughter. There is a group of fourteen at the moment and usually about twelve of us are able to come along on the day.

Whilst in the winter we tend to stay a little closer to home, for the rest of the year we visit restaurants in Beer, Sidford, Sidmouth, Colyford, Axminster, Axmouth and Lyme Regis. It is a joint decision as to which venue we select for our next lunch. We do try to go somewhere different each time but we do have our favourites!
